2025 Toyota Tacoma vs. 2026: What’s New?

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma is a popular truck, but how does it compare to the 2026 model? New features on this truck include new finishes and colors, additional wheel and tire options, and exterior options. Find out more about how the models differ by comparing them at Grants Pass Toyota.
New Color Options
On the 2026 Toyota Tacoma, you can choose between new colors and expanded finishes for your truck. That includes the new Wave Maker finish, available on the 2026 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Hero. Heritage Blue has replaced Blue Crush Metallic for a subtler shade. If you want a rugged look, the Mudbath color is now available on three Toyota Tacoma trims: TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road.
Off-Roading Equipment
Heading off into the great unknown in your Toyota Tacoma? You’ll want the TRD Off-Road i-FORCE® Premium package in the 2026 model, which includes an 18-inch TRD wheel to give you more grip on the road surface. That will help you handle the stress of driving in tough situations. So will the new 32-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, designed to better dig into loose surfaces like gravel and dirt.
Redesigned Exterior
Other additional options on the 2026 Toyota Tacoma let you design your exterior for both practicality and style. A tow hitch is now standard on XtraCab SR models, letting you connect your trailers right out of the box. There’s also now a gloss black Toyota logo on the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, and TRD PreRunner.
