Power and Performance

There are two big changes from last year, the first being that maximum horsepower has increased from 219 horsepower to 236 horsepower for all-wheel drive models. Secondly, the 2026 model is the first hybrid-powered Toyota RAV4 to offer front-wheel drive. FWD models achieve 226 horsepower.

Towing and Cargo

Enhancements to the powertrain of the 2026 Toyota RAV4 also bring increased towing capacity. All-wheel drive models, when properly equipped, can tow up to 3,500 lbs, while front-wheel drive models have a maximum towing capacity of 1,750lbs.

In terms of cargo, this new Toyota SUV has always been among the class leaders, and this year’s numbers are better than ever. A boxier, more upright design translates to 37.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, or 70.4 cubic feet with the second row folded flat.

Infotainment

The new Arene software development platform ushers in an all-new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and the latest generation of the Toyota Audio Multimedia System®. This next-gen system boasts several upgrades over the previous generation, including a new customizable home menu, a faster, more responsive voice assistant, and the Toyota brand’s first application of onboard 5G connectivity. Moreover, a new 12.9-inch touchscreen is equipped on select high-end trims, while entry-level and midrange trims come standard with a bigger 10.5-inch display that replaces last year’s 8-inch touchscreen.
